The Municipal Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (I.P. CMDA) is a non-commercial, self-managed public institution founded by the Chișinău Municipal Council on 6 June 2023. It delivers the city's business-support policies through entrepreneurship programmes.
Entrepreneurs and micro, small and medium enterprises in Chișinău. The STARTUP programme is aimed at young people and migrants, while the Municipal Business Incubator admits newly founded companies from the creative industries, cultural industries and the IT sector.
Four municipal programmes: accelerated growth through the Municipal Business Incubator, consulting, guidance and mentoring, entrepreneurship education with free courses, and the STARTUP programme for young people and migrants.
In three steps: complete the online application form, the CMDA team assesses the file against the eligibility criteria, and once approved you sign the residency contract. Residency lasts up to 24 months and includes workspace, utilities, innovation consulting and mentoring.
The 2025 edition approved 54 projects with total funding of 11 million lei. Beneficiaries range from food production, furniture and professional services to IT solutions and the creative industries.
